NORDREGA’S SPRING SEMESTER CONCERT

Nordrega is an ensemble that has come together through the study program of Nordic Master in Folk Music. Their repertoire consists of traditional pieces they have learned together along the way through their journey through Sweden and Denmark. A warm welcome to come and enjoy the stories and tunes this international bunch of talented folk musicians have to offer!

Henry Burtonwood (New Zealand) – Fiddle

Lauma Bērza (Latvia) – Fiddle

Ruusu Saksio (Finland) – Vocals/Accordion

Nordic Master in Folk Music (NoFo) is a joint study program between four Nordic music academies: Royal College of Music (Sweden), Danish National Academy of Music (Denmark), Sibelius Academy (Finland) and Ole Bull Academy (Norway). The NoFo students experience a unique artistic journey, studying at all of these high-level academies to get an insight into folk music traditions in four different countries and a great possibility to prepare for a Nordic career.
